Gary Stark

Gary took an interest in the lost art of hitching in 1985 
while managing a horse ranch in Western Montana. there
at the nearby Montana State Prison inmates were making
hitched horsehair work. Gary was given permission to
learn to hitch from an inmate who worked on the prison
cattle ranch. It was in this setting of the mountains of
Montana, Gary learned the "art" of hitching horsehair.

The desire to share this lost art sparked the idea for a
complete "how to" video taking a sample project from start to finish. The video covers the hitching of a ladies bracelet, with a simple diamond pattern, and hand sewn needle knots to finish the bracelet.
